Do No Harm.

My eyes glaze over whenever I start to read about the Greece crisis.

I can't absorb it.

**********

It's worth remembering that Oregon's one loss was to the team that's beat everyone else; L.S.U.

Of course, they still have to beat Stanford.

**********

Why can't they make movies that look as cool as video games? Everytime I see an ad, I think that wonderful imagery ought to be in a full length movie. Instead, most video game movies suck.

**********

This year has gone by so fast, I've got whiplash.

**********

One woman, two women, three women, four,
How many women does it take,
to show Herman Cain the door.

**********

Sunday has Dexter and Hell on Wheels and Boardwalk Empire and Once Upon a Time (for Linda) and The Good Wife and Homeland and Walking Dead.

Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sat. have hardly anything at all.

What's with these people?

***********

I hate to agree with a Bulletin editorial.

But it does seem that the city of Bend consistently underestimates the costs of their projects.

As well as consistently underestimating the effect of the economy on revenues.

The common characteristic is huge projects, under the mantra of building for future growth. Which may or may not be right. Thing is, it probably isn't affordable. But because they can justify it, they are going ahead and hoping revenues catch up.

Sometimes a delay isn't such a bad thing.

The motto ought to be: Do No Harm.

**********

Speaking of Do No Harm.

This also ought to be the guiding principle to downtown street closures.

If some businesses are helped by these events, and some are hurt, the people being hurt should have greater weight, not less. If no events means neither hurt nor help, that is maybe what should happen.

I don't buy into the notion that we'll somehow lose our momentum downtown. Downtowners like to crow that we have almost no vacancies. I don't think that would stop, if we suddenly didn't close streets.

According to sources, when asked if the downtown events helped business, half the people at the downtown meeting raised their hands.

Hey, how do they know? From my keeping track, about 40% of them have only been around for a couple of years. What do they have to compare it with? They've never seen an alternative.
How do they know that summer weekends wouldn't even be BETTER without the events.

And, harsh as it may sound, I'm convinced some business owners are so out of touch with what's happening, they can't even judge it correctly.

But even if it's true that a majority of businesses are helped, like I said above, the fact that some businesses are hurt should have a strong weight. If not doing the events is neutral.

So the motto ought to be: Do No Harm.

Pay close attention to Greece, for it will show the path of the USA. Greece is 1% of less of the USA debt. Greece cannot print its own money, and thus will revert to the Drachma.

I used to live in Greece back in the 1980's during the summers, wonderful life then, and it all went to shit when they went to the Euro post 1990's. Virtually killed all village life on the islands. A few rich and powerful forced the Euro.

Greece is essentially a communist state, like Italy in the south of Tuscany. Greece was ruled by US puppet mafia MILITARY until the socialists took over in the 1980's. The Euro was used as a milk-cow, and everyone fed at the tit post EURO. Now GERMANY is tired of paying for 45 year olds to retire in greece, when men in germany work to 60, JEALOUSY, yes but also a lack of fairness.

Now boyz at G20 this week demanded all the GERMAN gold to be held in ESCROW to cover the greek debt, of course the good germans said "FUCK NO".

Greece is easy. I printed here many times, but I'll say again long ago I had this cool guy I used to drink with every night in Greece he was in his 80's at the time, ... he said ...

"We Greeks ain't got nothing, but we know what we have, You americans ain't got nothing, but you don't know what you have"

Greece used to rule the world, and never wants to go back, a very interesting people, and they know how live, to eat well, and enjoy life. The imperialism gig is long over.

I look to a new Greece, a better Greece.

Now to the problem it goes back to CDS ( credit derivative swaps ), they're now at $600 TRILLION, and none has ever been claimed, because the USA keeps covering the insurance, once a claim has to be paid the entire CDS ponzi goes down, this is why the WEST cannot tolerate a GREEK DEFAULT on debt, but that said the west wants the GERMAN gold and german's say fuck no.

Eventually the CDS has to be paid as BILLIONS has been received for this insurance, but nobody on Wall-ST has ever had to make good on the $600T in insurance, once people have to start making good, everything will collapse, this is why LEHMAN went down, and why GOLDMAN was rescued, but this time, all the worlds doesn't have enough money to cover, so now they just hold off little defaults like Greece, but the tidal wave of collapse is coming,

Greeks know how to live on wine, feta, and olives and a little bread. They can even make it at home, its the USA public that will go cannibal.

CAIN:

I know that neutered males don't understand this shit,

But behind every powerful male there is a sex drive,

JFK had it, and so does CAIN, and CLINTON of course was the KING,

Why the double standard for CAIN?

The reason of course is that he could kick OREO's ass, being that he is a business man,

In many ways CAIN is a black RAYGUN, essentially just a motivational speaker, but shit we're talking about PT-BARNUM USA and they eat this shit.

I really wish the DEM's would drop this shit its boring, they never seem to care when one of their own is caught trying to fuck a little girl, essentially its the only weapon the femi-nazis have to fight the right-wing, quite sad, the lack of intellectual weapons.

Is this the same BULL, that got free land from HOLLERN, and then turned around and sold the free land to the city for $5M???

My how a few years can change the mind of a whore.

OREGON state law clearly states that debt can only be about 4X of tax reciepts ( something like that ), at over $400M today the city is capped out, MAX'd and of course given that RISK requires higher interest rates for a fucked and mismanaged city, ... but this is old shit.

Why now is the BULL not whoring for BIG money to be sent to Knife-River ( moss/cacb )????

Long ago we all predicted that when the tide changed so would the BULL, now they'll lead us all to austerity, all the while collecting cool interest on their FREE city/hollern $5M gift.

Nobody ever estimates costs as real, look at Juniper Ridge, the city spent more developing the land to be shovel-ready, than they got for its sale,

But then GUBMINT is always welfare for the rich this is the game,

Take from the taxpayers and pass the money to HOLLERN/MOSS, and pay the BULL a commission, courtesy of the tax-payer.

The BULL knows that BEND must change, at least for a few years, to do the austerity thing, clean up its act, get some good press.

Then about 2018 the REAL-ESTATE machine can once again, go full ON :)

In the short term the BULL will talk about how we must all SHARE THE PAIN.

Well it could be that 1/2 the biz are boutique owned by women with the backing of their hubby's. Like all those art gallery's and salons, ...

Worrying about 'money' is only something the low life dwells on, right dunc?

I can't figure out why the Ducks, who have lost only one game (to the #1 team in the country) and have blown all their other opponents off the field, are ranked #7, while the Snodfarts, who have played only pushovers so far this season, are #4.

I think the Snodfarts are in for a nasty surprise Saturday.

Had a comment that "Duck fans eat Drake Park geese turds" and deleted it.

Some silly goose.

I think JFK was the king when it came to getting extramarital pussy. However, unlike Cain, JFK and Clinton didn't force their attentions on women who didn't want them -- at least as far as anybody knows.

"they never seem to care when one of their own is caught trying to fuck a little girl"

What Democrat was caught trying to fuck a little girl?
