Let's understand this, the tourist economy is two months, july & aug, in comes $1/2Billion. What about the rest of the year?

The answer is fairly obvious. The downtown ONLY exists for the tourists, and the Old-Mill. The People of Bend, they belong out on 27th-eastside. Out of sight and out of mind. How can you sell a tourist town if there are locals hanging out?

Soon there will be NOT a reason for a local ever to go downtown. Then it will be just boarded up outside of July/Aug waiting for that 1/2 Billion to come-in.
