Come back, Walter Cronkite! The world needs you.
The news media, especially T.V. news get a get fat F from me for their lousy coverage of Virginia Tech. The extraordinary vapidity of T.V. personalities (I won't call them reporters) comes through when they have to go off script. They don't have any real news, so they fill the air with rumors and innuendoes. They cry crocodile tears while their eyes show the ghoulish glee they are taking in being part of a 'big' story. They profess sypmpathy and empathy, and yet come across as hypocritical and maudlin. And by late afternoon, they are already playing a blame game.
Poor performance.

Hallelujah! My wife & I were sicken by it. We actually turned to Montel Williams for something more authentic.
I just thought it was horrible.
"HOW did this happen? WHO is responsible?"
This sort of Monday-morning scapegoating makes me want to puke.
And asking people "How do/did you feel..." at the moment you got shot, saw someone get shot? How incredibly stupid.
"Hey, yeah.. I felt like a hundred bucks!"
Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton should soon be making appearances to figure out how to blame this on "Whitey" though. The big media in this country is almost as pathetic as these racists black leaders.
I think that we could get Cronkite back if we really want to. We could get him in the White House.
The Electors to the President are the people who choose the president in the US. We could get Cronkite into the White House if we care enough to let the Electors know that we are through, we are finished with choosing from among those who want to promote themselves.
Who would you want as president if you could ask ANYONE?
The Electors CAN ask anyone. Are they going to elect someone who most people think would be a good or great President? Would the Electors better serve the interests of this nation if they were to elect someone who most people say would be a better President than ... whoever the 'major' parties want to nominate.
