Slow news day, (unless you count the end of the world.)

A slow news day, if you ignore a crashing stock market or two.

The Bulletin had a rather bizarre editorial that criticized the state for granting money to OSPIRG which had the temerity to question rate increases by health insurance companies. Because the companies are "Oregon" companies....

Because Oregon companies would never raise the rates unnecessarily. Especially health insurance companies....

**********

Went to see Cowboys and Aliens.

I think because I had already downgraded this movie in my mind, I actually was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

I think it's the first time I've seen Harrison Ford really play his age; instead of the awkward sort of, "he's old, but he's Han Solo, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, so he can still kick your butt" kind of role. Though there was a bit of that.

Then came home and watched season finale of Falling Skies, which gets more and more ludicrous

This is a resistance army that could only have been created by Hollywood. Your touchy feelly army of, "Oh, did I hurt your feelings because you betrayed us to the enemy? Come here, let me give you a hug...."

One thing consistent about aliens in these movies -- they have lousy security. Some cultures never invented the wheel; aliens never invented the sentry.

***********

"I think I sunburned the top of my head! That's never happened before."

"Well, you used to have hair on the top of your head. You don't get sunburned if you have hair....

"What?"

"You don't get sunburned if you have hair...."

"What? What are you saying?"

"Ummm....

"Are you saying I have no hair? Are you saying I'm BALD?"

"No, dear. You still have hair, just not as much."

"What?"

Shit.

I can't believe I was smart enough to get out of the stock market in mid-July, and dumb enough to get back in early Aug.

One more day. If I had just waited one more day....

I think it's interesting how Harrison Ford has managed to have a career beyond Han and Indy. So many actors' careers just never go anywhere after they play an iconic character like that.

Harrison has so much charisma. I mean he rocked in star war's, and was a magnet in bladerunner.

In indy he was like the ideal father,

I mean name a man who is so consistent. Not political, just plain vanilla loved by all, .. I mean who does he ever offend? He's never castigated by the media, or portrayed as a misogynist like so many male stars.

Not Eastwood, ...

The thing also is Harrison never gets tired, so many like Newman, or Redford go away, ..

& most of course go drunk like Raising-Arizona boy, ...

If there is real charisma its Harrison,

Haven't seen alien&cowboy, I'll get it for the kids,

I'm looking for the new planetOFape monkey movie sadly I have to wait until the DVD is sold on the street for $1, that usually happens prior to first screening in LA, just haven't gone out looking for these new movies yet. The 'theaters' over here suck just like in the US sticky seats and bad smells shitty popcorn and bad soda. Me ideal theater would be mcMinnimims with good beer & food. For that reason its best to watch the new movies at home.

Me garden is also going great got some pineapples going the other day the bananas are doing great. Tomatoes and Basil are my favorite, made pepperoni pizza last night.

Gold & CHF ( swiss franc ), but watch gold like a hawk, ... of course if it goes south of $1400 might be a good time to buy.

Now at $1700 is kind of high.

On the other hand the CHF will just keep going, ... gold is just at a crawl at about 10% year, but shit CHF is doing +30% a year. SGD is nice, e.g. singapore.

Trouble with US stock is like I have said most these companies will not be around in 10 years, also the problem with us stocks is they're in US dollars. Now with hyper-inflation coming there will be deals, as all INFLATION ends in DEFLATION, which means everyone has to sell ALL in order to buy food. That's why eventually in hyper-inflation that GOLD collapses because gold too must be sold. Only the SWISS sitting up on their MTN will weather the shit storm.

Wow HONG-KONG is down 8% this morning, so they're reacting hard on the DOWN for USA at 6%, this means the USA will go down another 10% you guys tomorrow AM.

Note for the weak at heart, the numbers really aren't there for a rebound, for ever so long all of you have been told to 'hold' or just wait out, ... but at some point like I have been pointing out, 90% of these company's cannot survive.

Sure they're all profitable, but like GM, they're all making money with FINANCE, nobody is making money from product. It's all a non-sustainable ponzi, because they all trade each other's paper asset, but at some point these 'smart guys' will quit buying each others toilet paper. Who will buy? Certainly not main-street, they're bend-broke(tm).

Lot's of shit coming out on GOLD now, they're talking about a 500% sales tax, and perhaps other forms of 'tax' ( tax is the power to destroy ) the flight from the US dollar while quite easy for us abroad, will be almost impossible now in the USA.

Sure wait long enough and you can buy J&J or proctor&gamble, for HBM I have heard that P&G now is the main source of 'adult depends' that shit should skyrocket with the loss of all pensions in the USA. I don't think that BUYING P&G on the low will be a bad investment.

10AM and gold is now trading at $1750 an ounce in Hong-Kong. SHEESH

I hope some of you bought this stuff back when it was $1,000 or less.

Please note on this issue never buy the ETF or US traded 'paper gold' it will be worthless, here in Asia folks only buy the 'real thing'.

The flight to 'real value' is extreme, sadly parabolic, in all cases when precious metal goes parabolic, ... well its close to game-over. But the problem is ASIA and just CHINA alone with close to 2 TRILLION of USD must convert this garbage to GOLD ASAP, you toss in all other asia ( excluding japan - usa colony ), and then call it $10 Trillion usd ...

Maybe it will not crash, because as we all know, there is NO WHERE to go, can't go to YUAN, can not go to US dollar, and can't go to EURO.

Everybody can't go to swiss franc (CHF) because it would destroy swiss economy, because the market too small ditto for singapore (sgd).

Probably the smart money is divesting into equal canada, australia, ... norway, sweden, any place that has 'AAA', there are still a dozen 'AAA' country's on earth, and this is where the 'smart money' will go. But in the short term GOLD will be a holding place.

Boyz I want to help you to learn this this shit, ... go to the bottom of the above page on currency trading, note today right now in Asia that all the western country's are in the RED,
Japan and EURO, and SWISS are doing fine, canada, and Australia are getting sold off hard by asia, which is the only place open now, being 11am hong-time.

Note just so you all know the HK dollar is tied to USD so that's why its on a death spiral.

A lot of people like JAPAN, on short term, they're a hard working people, and their BASE is huge, they can support massive buying, and they as a people always pull out of the shit. Looks like FOLKS with money are BUYING GOLD & JAPAN today in CHINA.
Note yuan is in the negative.

I don't advocating trading, I'm simply posting this information, so that people can see what's really going on, rather being told what's going on by their TV.

The china yuan is also tied to dollar, which is why people want it to free float. Maybe in the coming days when G20 meet, they can agree to pull their currency's off the dollar peg, and then they can rise, and let the dollar go to zero.

Again the game here is survival to know what's going on, in terms of WHY this is happening, ... well you can't live on a mountain of lies forever.

They're already back to talking about where is 'casey' and missing children, ...

Back to Libya, and Syria, ... Hope much are they talking about riots in UK?? That in mind mind is closer to home.

I noticed that after the NYSE opened on monday AM, that the talk about economy stopped but amazing all weekend that was the talk, but already now back to normal.

Oh there is one subject to debate on MSM TV, whose fault? Tea party or not? Funny that nobody ever blames the US people in entirety ....

Well nobody likes the bearer of bad news and 56% of US publik gets a welfare check from SAM, so I can understand the majority hates the tea party for wrecking the party. TP are like chickens warning of the falling sky. Funny that only Russia & China tell the truth, that the US public is a frog being boiled on high.

How come so many people can't spell "McMenamins"? Or are they trying to be cute?
