So the "exclusive" and "private" golf courses are willing to take my money because they suddenly have need of my money. When they didn't need my money, they wouldn't have anything to do with me.

Back in the most recent day 1998-2007, being at any Orygun Gold Course meant that you were a player, and deal maker, ... somebody in the know, ... somebody that was somebody.
Now who in the fuck is there at these golf courses? Too many, and all dressed up and nobody to blow.
For a long time you could justify hauling the Jap's over to Hawaii, but who in the fuck is going to go to Eastern Orygun to play golf?
Nobody has long wanted to 'pay' for the golf it had long been relegated to the 'players' to pay, think Broken-Top where player's pay, ... or the successful 'Highlands' where REAL RICH made sure that a 'golf course' could never be allowed, think Bledsoe, or dozens of movie-stars there. Real money in Central Oregon doesn't want to be near a fucking golf-course.
So who in the hell are they fucking for?
Golf Courses in Central Orygun are like FaceBook they're a sucker play.
Real money is still buying cheap lots and having custom homes built at Highlands where there will never be a golf course. Real Money isn't buying existing homes, because its cheaper to have a home custom built, given that the remaining builders and suppliers are working for almost free.
If you own Golf Course property, with or without a home, your Bend-Fucked(tm), been this way quite some time. Most people I know who had lots/cabins at Pronghorn, or Brasada quit paying the MTG 2-3 years ago.
So yes in desperate times the PIMPS&WHORES that market golf-resort property will convince the likes of duncan to 'GOLF'. Maybe dunc can turn it around and convince the PR&MARKETING crowd of Bend to buy comic books.
Come on, Dunc, what golf course has ever gotten a dime out of you?
