I wonder if they need any buses? We've got some, cheap!

Why not nab some Federal Dollars for Transit, Human See, Human Do.
If parasitic Bend, can buy buses that don't run, and nab Federal matching transit dollars, think the in-bred Redmond 'incestuous' city-hall is going to stand by?
It's the easiest money in town.

I too, just in my little attempt to report the news, would like to mention on the need of buses between Redmond & Bend.
I can't say how times I have had a pint waiting for my geri to be filled at Silver-Moon, to have some poor soul sitting next to me asking folks for a ride north.
These poor souls all have DUI's, and there is NO public transportation home for them. Back in the day they all lived in LA-Pines, but folks didn't get DUI's like candy, like they do now.
Bend needs to people to work min-min wage here, but doesn't have a way to get from Redmond & Bend, its simply sad. Perhaps, just perhaps Redmond will fill that niche.

I'm sure the best 'federal block grant writers' in the tri-county are up in Redmond right now consulting on how to get Federal Bucks, Big Bucks into Redmond.
Why not, isn't the region about Welfare? Isn't the electorate a bunch of amenity parasites, do we not have the politicians we deserve??
Ok, I'm taking my gloves off, the war has started, I have given the SORE the benefit of the doubt until now.
Tonight I read the new edition of the SORE.
They have finally printed the story about INN@7thMTN, trouble is start/finish its all Freidman's version of the story.
I think that the SORE has no credibility, they want to turn corner, but they still backup the old guard.
They tell the INNof7thMTN story, only from the PAPE point of view.
I'll not even bother and post at the SORE because they always delete anything that isn't 100% pro status-quo.
They'll ban your IP if you mention "BOB", and they'll delete if you mention anything true about Bend.
My position is now that Aaron & HBM are public enemy #1.
We can't fix this town, if we have a press that kowtows to the weakest, dumbest people in the town.
For months they (SORE) has sat on this story, they know whats going on there simply is no reason, to only print the Friedman version of the story, Mayor Freidman is going to jail, and the SORE is going to be SOLD.
I'm Duncan McGeary, owner and/or operator for the last 39 years of Pegasus Books in Downtown Bend, Oregon. These days I'm writing books as well as selling them.
I'm the comic book guy. But even more so, I'm a book book guy. Books of all kinds. Big books and little books, children's and adult, fiction and non-fiction, hardback and paperback and trade paperback and graphic novels. Books with more words than pictures and books with more pictures than words. They are all part of the book world to me, and I love being surrounded by them every day.
