There for awhile, this fall, I actually had to scramble to come up with blog posts. I don't know why I want to have an entry everyday, it's just pride, somehow.
Some days I seem to have 10 or 15 things I want to say, and some day's I'm struggling for anything to say.
But since the holidays, I've been trying not to write TOO much.
I really feel abandoned, somehow, because BendBubble2 quit. And it seems to me that he quit far too soon.
This mornings business article on how the commercial real estate bubble is going to affect 'small' banks, it but an example of how they whole bubble thing isn't over, not even halfway over.
I'm been ringing the alarms for CRE from the very beginning, because as crazy as all the house-building in in Bend was, I couldn't help notice, as a retailer, how crazy the commercial part was, too. Maybe more so.
There is just so much yet to play out, and little old me can't be the only one commenting on it, dammit!
I can't do the in-depth rant that Paul-doh used to do every couple of weeks. But I can open the door to discussion. I know, I know....you've got outrage fatigue. But don't let the bastards win!
Pick up the slack, folks.

I think in the fall of 2006 it was BEM who said "We have become redundant".

So it with Bend Bitching about the Economy. For every Bewert there is an HBM on the payroll at the SORE or BULL who will outlast all Bewert's. Paul Doh (homer) put in a lot of good work, more than his share, no doubt he's got to get back to making some money, if not get the fuck out of this town before its too late.

Hey, on a positive note on thursday at deschutes there was a REPO-MAN conference in town from Vegas. The guys were telling me that Redmond now leads in Big Rig REPO's, but the silly thing is virtually all the big-rigs have had the tires pulled.
What does this mean? This is Les Schwab country, is there really a market for a guy who doesn't pay payments on his rig to sell his own wheels and rubber before REPO?? Who in the fuck is the market for this shit??

I agree why does dunc have to post everyday? Why MUST homer post once a week.
The main thing is to have one place where all the stray dogs can piss, and just maybe one will leave and interesting scent from time-to-time.
It does appear that homer's blog added a dose legitimacy to our moronity, and it is sorely missed.
Well Dunc, it appears that all loose food in Bend has been eaten, the rats are leaving town, they have turned off the lights, and everyone is assuming you will be the last shopper-keeper standing.
BEM called it 'redundancy', Homer's probably just burnt-out, in 2-4 years there will be the beginnings of a new bubble and all we have ever written will be forgotten and denied.
