Mars landing.

Turned on the T.V. at 10:30 A.M. hoping to find coverage of the Mars landing.

Instead, some gunman has shot up a Sikh temple. Not to jump to conclusions, but I wonder if this is some complete dunderhead psycho who thinks that because Sikh's wear turbans, that they are Moslems? Like I said, I may be jumping to conclusions.

How sad is it, though, that there isn't a dedicated channel to the Mars lander. Or is there? Anyone know? I swear we used to have a NASA channel, but now I can't find it.

It's at 10 PM tonight. Yes NASA has their own dedicated channel. It will probably be covered on CNN.

It is tonight at 10:31 pm PST . If you are in London then you need to watch tomorrow morning (august 6th) at 5:31 am.

NASA's 1-ton Curiosity rover is set to land inside the Red Planet's Gale Crater at 10:31 p.m. PDT tonight (Aug. 5; 1:31 a.m. EDT and 0531 GMT on Aug. 6). As with any planetary landing, success is not a given, and tensions may be especially high tonight given Curiosity's elaborate, unprecedented landing sequence.

That's when the landing is supposed to complete. We won't know if it defeated the Martian defence forces for another 10 minutes or if the Martians now get a nice nuke to keep them warm for a couple of years...
