This is Bend Exceptionalism.

I'm sure that Aspen had positive news that day also.

There are no negative story's in Bend.

It's like in Brave New World when a shortage is reported, they turn it into a positive by noting how many people will have access to the coveted material.

For any negative there is always a positive.

Bend is about tourism, and tourism is about pleasure and positive experience.

Save the negativism for places like Portland.
