The King is dead, long live the King?

For those of you who don't keep up with the blogger ravings, there was a bit tumult a couple of days ago when someone tried to 'out' Paul-do's identity. Anonymously. On the Bend Economy Bulletin Board. And unfortunately that thread stayed alive for more than a day.

I don't care who Bendbubble2 is; I've always been more interested in the message. I alluded to the whole mess the day before yesterday.

What's most interesting to me is -- BB2 didn't have hs weekly rant up on Sunday.

Is he in hiding? Is he angry? Upset? Is he plotting his return? Or was this a stake in his heart?

With unseemly haste, Buster and Marge and a few others have already started a Bendbubble3 blog -- I guess they mean it to be a group blog, whatever that is. I'll be joining in the comments, if Paul-doh doesn't come back.

But...I expect him to return, one way or another.

I suppose if I ever flame out of the blogosphere, I'll probably do it loudly and with great fanfare. Something like, "You won't have Duncan to kick around anymore."

But...I think that having control over my own blog gives me a certain amount of comfort.

Anyway, I doubt Paul-doh is all that delicate. He could just proclaim who he is to the world, on a new blog, but he would have to be more restrained in language and tone -- but he could always start an alter-ego in the comments section.

If not....been nice knowing you, in the blogging sense.

The King is dead, long live the King.

His wife probably didn't know about hobby. He needs to keep a low profile. He's been noticeably absent from the entire net now for 2-3 days which is the smart thing to do.

I long told him to stay off bend-economy as they can log IP's at that site. They have long know who Doh was, the question was why now? I suspect it has something to do with the close the topics are getting to the truth and noticeable silence from the powers that be in Bend.

The best thing Home-Boy could do is lie low 2-3 months, and then come back anon as a comment poster, now that we have a group and note dunc, already ten different people have signed up to post at BB3, and none of them home-boy. In the future if homeboy wants to post all he has to do is send email or post a comment, and we'll make it into a post.

For now he must lie low, and be forgotten, a couple of months and this town will have totally forgotten him, the real estate people will have found a new enemy.

The Source is starting to come around and say enough is enough. Figure in another two years the Bulletin will do the same.

Its now an election cycle, and folks are starting to get worried. The public will start paying attention, albeit only for a few months.

The sad thing is virtually everyone running is funded by COBA/EDCO, e.g. more of the same. The USA is ruled by interest, and the only interest in BEND is crap-shacks. The good thing is these people are tossing good money into a rat hole, and by darwinian law they're driving themselves bankrupt trying to re-inflate the Bend Bubble.

To date its largely been done with taxpayer money, hopefully that door will soon be shut. When these people have to start using their own money the tone of the debate will change.

Too many people in this town on the tax-payer dole to cheer-lead real estate, take away that funding and most the cheer-leaders will find a new gold-rush town.

O.K. You know what? I'm a little vexed with the blogosphere right now.

I was out of town for three days, but even so I was able to check into the Bend Blogs at least once a day.

Meanwhile, over at Bend Economy Board, they left the 'outing' thread for over a day.

And as everyone waits to see Paul-doh's reaction, he waits two days to post! Opps, he says.

You couldn't even look?

Shit, why am I even paying attention.

And my listening to Buster pronounce authoritatively that Paul-doh wasn't coming back? Vexed at myself for listening.

Maybe I just take this stuff too seriously. If the authors of the blogs I'm reading can't even check more than once every two days, then neither should I.

Grumble, grumble.

And they rake the Bulletin and the Source when they're sloppy.

Why did you delete my retraction and update notice at 7pm last night dunc?

You try to have the last word, Homer disappeared for several days, we worked hard getting the stuff pulled off BENDBB, and magically monday Homer reappears.

He's usually around everyday, the outing came on friday, and was removed by sunday.

He didn't post on sunday, and claims it was a tech glitch, but that had never been a problem before.

I suspect he decided by sunday afternoon, with so much support, and your obituary cover like the Mark-Twain Huckleberry Finn death, where old huck decided everyone loved him, he came back.

Virtually every blogger in Bend condemned BENDBB for his action on the outing thread, it was relentless. He had no support whatsoever. I personally didn't record the address or pay no intention, as I have said all along, I don't care about individuals or who is who, I only care about ideas.

What he should have done, and what he did do is different. For over a year I told him BENDBB was a trojan horse that logged IP's, but he kept playing over in that realtor trojan-horse sanctuary. BENDBB is/was always been a control freak, this is an old story.

More interesting is why did they 'out' him now this past weekend, as they have known for years his IP?

We're all free to mess up our lives.

So Homer steps back into the fray with a new post, that says really nothing, the same old diatribe that its better to rent than buy. Which is especially nauseating as now we're in the 4X margin in Bend where you can pick up a nice little house for 4X of the median $60k family income. Given that a nice house can be $1200/mo to rent, then if a person has $48k down, there is no reason not buy your own home.

You know I have always said that Homer is a poverty pimp, and 90% of his 'groupies' are 'renters' that need affirmation that its cool to be a loser.

How long have I pestered you to buy your own building for your comic shop??

Homer had been getting tired of the sunday posting's and had been looking for change, I really thought he would use this period as a time for step-back, he obviously thrives on the attention, and he got by the notice of his premature death. Thus every thing is back to abby-normal for awhile.

Bilbo, I deleted something else; a private message that I mistakenly posted. I think everything else went up? If not, send it again and I'll post it.
