I'm the cynic?

I never thought I'd become a cynic. 

Frankly, if others didn't occasional point out that something I said was cynical, I don't know that I would have termed it that way.

So I think on it and decide, "You know what? That does sound cynical."

Then I cogitate on it further and think, "It not only sounds cynical, it is cynical."

And then on further reflection, I think: :Well, sure, but that's how I think...."

Pause... "and I'm all right with it."

I guess I'm a cynic.
