I've now been doing this for 9 years.
I've only missed a few days, all of them in the last six months. Once I missed a day by accident, I figured, what the hell.
Nevertheless, I still write just about every day.
At first, it was a "bubble blog" talking about the real estate bubble, predicting a collapse -- though not predicting the whole Great Recession.
Then it was about the my business and downtown Bend.
All along, it was also personal.
Lately, and probably to most of my original readers' disgust, it's been about writing.
In fact, the fact that I could so easily write this blog every day was part of the inspiration for trying fiction again.
9 years. Who'd have thunk it?

I book marked your site years ago but for some reason when I click the link it always takes me to nov. 30, 2009. I have to click the top of the page to take me to the current post. I do it without thinking any more. This morning I went back and read some of those posts from 2009 ................ They were actually interesting! And most posts had these things at the bottom, what are they called? Comments?! Crazy ....................
I can't make it through a complete paragraph anymore and couldn't tell you the last time I read a whole post. I'm sure some find it interesting.
Wouldn't it be great, if there was someone in this town, a downtown business owner maybe, who's been here for decades, seen the ups and downs, comings and goings, and took the time to post his opinions on things? Easy to find a newbie spouting off about something. Not so easy to find someone who's been around the block. Not many people in this town like that .................
