It looks to me like Tetherow is dead in the water.
If you don't believe me, just take a drive out there and look around.
The county ought to take the security bond and spend it on needed infrastructure -- elsewhere.
It looks all the world to me like the county got conned by the developers. A little game of three card monte -- (4-card, 5-card?) Who's the developer, look for the developer, he ain't here.

The county has a history of granting extensions and waivers for Destination Resorts. It's all a big con game that lets developers build subdivisions outside the UGBs. This recent lack of infrastructure will be no exception, the country will grant another extension.
ReplyDeleteOnly a fool would buy in Tetherow. Been some big losses on recent Tetherow lot resales.
Update: County defers any decision because Tetherow Attorney is going to ask for another extension. And of course they will get it.
